I have a Flex award to a sun destination in a couple of days, eupgrades waitlisted, currently J3. My plan is to see where I'm on the list within 24 hours of the flight - if it looks like I won't clear, I'll rebook to Latitude, if it still looks like it won't clear, then I'll rebook to standard to save some miles (I'm SE so no change fees). Is it possible for an agent/concierge to find out where I would be on the list without being checked in? Also, is it possible to check-in at the airport the day before (no checked luggage).
