We did short staycation at Shangrila (Orchard not sentosa) once in 2021 and would like to make some observations:

1. Kids pool was icy cold even at 4pm in the afternoon, be sure to pack thermal swimwear so your kids won't shiver non stop like mine did.
2. The marble cake slices at the bakery are heavenly, possibly the best I have had in Singapore, but it's a pity they are not available everyday.
3. If my memory serves me well, entry to the kids club is chargeable, which is a surprise as the marriott group doesn't charge even at their vacation clubs in AP.
4. It was a hassle to get to using public transport (I treked hundreds of meters to and from the bus stops), so you may just want to get a taxi in scorching or pouring weather.
