On NK, if you cancel a flight do you get a flight credit that does not expire?
Well, for a year. I'm back to the "keeping a spreadsheet" method of keeping up with the credits.
How does NK handle IROPS?
Haven't personally found out yet (and one hopes Gold means something) but anecdotally? They suck due to a limited network and no interlines (I guess a smaller version of WN) but again, I've been reading reports from IFFs who may not be familiar with any available remedies.
How is the boarding process of NK compare with WN?
Zones (1, 2, then 3-5) akin to the legacies. My first two flights ($238 vs the > $620 RT WN wanted, and the trip was important enough to bite the NK bullet) I had no status and boarded in Z5, which was just like the last zone on AS (the last legacy I'd flown with no status), IMO.
I will take WN over NK
Trust me, I used to think so, too- but after the Status Match- which I'm going to attempt to keep- I'm not so sure.

But seat pitch in the general seats feels like 20 inches, there's no seat-back pocket and the tray tables are half the size of everyone else's, there's only one or two NS and if you choose the wrong flight you can easily spend FAR more hours getting somewhere, and that also means if things melt down it's hotel time. They won't replace WN for me, but it's good to have an alternative.
