Can I ask how much sun the pool got while you were there? I've got 5 nights booked over next New Year at The Hilton Jumeirah The Walk, but may move somewhere else for the other 5. Or do it the other way around, as the Jumeirah hotels will probably be rammed with families at that time of year (we normally travel off-peak these days, but need to be back in the UK by Jan 10th next year for various reasons). The shorter palm trees might work in our favour in the winter.
