Pretty sure Qantas has a fixed membership year based on when you joined, so you'll be upgraded for the remainder of your current year plus the next year.
Seems my 31 Jan date has been reset to 30 Apr with the Qantas Club active until then.
Will see if once Gold is attained if this is a permanent change.
