Does international change fee apply to Future Flight Credit??
I have a round-trip LHR-EWR itinerary booked in R class. The "change flight" options (and underlying fare code) note a GBP180 change fee, which initially surprised me, but which I now understand are becoming increasingly common on fares originating outside the US.
The "Cancel options" link indicates that upon cancelation, the full GBP fare value I paid will be available via a Future Flight Credit, but the small print says: Please use confirmation number XXXXXX to return to this canceled reservation in My Trips and make changes for a future trip. Change fees may apply for international flights originating outside of the United States. Begin travel by: 1 Oct 2025.
Should I understand this to mean that the GBP180 change fee will be applied when I try to use the FFC?
Thanks in advance!
