Marriott would be silly to have another double EQN promo, especially in Q1. Too many full lounges, number of elites fighting for upgrades etc. I suspect it’ll be 1000 bonus points per stay (not night) from your second stay or something similar! And another 1000 if you’ve got the credit card (bummer for those outside the US like me!)
In some ways that would make it easier for me as then I could ignore Marriott entirely for that period. When there's a 2x EQN promo on I'm loathe to book places anywhere else as it's so effective for reaching a decent status level (ie Plat or higher). That means I tend to go for overpriced Marriott properties even when there are markedly better value propositions to choose from (disclaimer: I have the 10 years for LTP but am still over 100 nights short, so it's hard to ignore a 2x nights promo).
