DO NOT TAKE THIS AS FACT

But I was asking around the same thing, as the language was unclear. I read in one location that for Canadians (me) a yellow fever shot was required, I read elsewhere that it wasn't and elsewhere that it was recommended (or potentially required) depending on where in Bolivia you were going, because it's much less of a risk in La Paz than in the lower elevations. Beyond that I read that it's required if you're coming from a high risk country, I'm flying in from Panama, which is on the list, but I'm not leaving the airport, USA and Canada are not on the list.

Long story short, I'm 99% sure I'm just gonna go get it, it's a shot that's good for life and while I don't LIKE needles I also don't exactly fear them, and it'll likely help me down the line. The problem is it's like $300 in Canada between the fee for the shot itself and mandatory consultations or whatever. I'm heading down to Medellin in a few weeks, so I'm more than likely to get it there as long as it comes with documentation and the price is decent.
