We were finally off the ground at 08:50 and the crew wasted no time in getting ready for breakfast service. There are 6 full rows in Club this morning, so 24 hungry beaks to feed.
I was asked earlier if it was OK for the crew to unpack my Kosher special, and at that time I told them I didn’t want the hot meal. I’ve had enough egg and potato for this week
No surprise on the beverage choice for this morning.
Most of the flight has been spent snoozing and reading, and the pilots announcement that we are 40 minutes to landing jolted me from one such snooze.
We have made up a significant amount of time in the air, looks like we will be arriving on time, if not even a little bit early, not bad given our 30 minutes delay to departure.
I am thoroughly impressed by Mr 1As capacity for vodka and tonic, at least 8 double vodkas by my count and still seems pretty sober.
A pleasant flight that went past quickly due to the snoozing.
I’ve been pondering whether to get a day room today and I’ve decided that it is the best course of action. The decision is based mostly on the fact that there will be no rest tomorrow until I get back to Newcastle so if I could power through today, a short night tonight, or major delays, could leave me being one of the walking dead, so, better safe than sorry, and all that.
On the ground just before 09:40 and now heading to the gate
