Tomorrow I am flying BA for my first time ever. I am on the newly restored (?) BA flight 270 , LAS-LHR, on 77W. It looks like 270 was used recently between LAX-LHR but before that it was flown in 2018 on the LAS-LHR route on the now-retired 747s. Pity that they aren't still around.
Anyway I'm in seat 6A which I see upthread is a good seat. When I checked-in, I grabbed 2A and it seemed to acknowledge that choice. Isn't that a first seat? It seems weird it would let me pick a seat in a cabin better than mine. At some point it automatically moved me back to 6A.
On aircraft with a First cabin fitted some times when completely full in CW, First seats are used, on here it is referred to as Flub. As your flight isn’t busy at all it will not be necessary.
