Slightly OT I know but the problem I have isn't with my APC converter per se, it is that there is not an appropriate onward lead for my laptop power supply/charger. This is a bizarre 3 pin type connection, kind of like the in line 2 pin female socket with a smaller earth pin by the side.

I have an Inspiron 8600, tried to buy an adapter from Dell who sent me a Ind power supply which was incompatible (and was told by Dell sorry that is the only one we have).

I have been unable to source another power converter for this laptop anywhere. If someone has found a solution to this problem I would be grateful for info.
