Had to switch my selection to AS from UA on Jan 1... we had 3 bags and AS said their card didn't give me free bags because second leg was on AA. Still have $100 credit, and am looking at near term need to downgrade. I guess I could try chatting and trying to change back to UA, but as an infrequent AS flyer, is there anything from AS that would get reimburse and also be useful? Have no AS trips booked. I was looking at an AA flight, any chance this would cover the partner booking fee?
