Living here, I am no expert on hotels, but the Fullerton is one of my favourite buildings, its the old post office and back in the 80s, when I was working on ships, I used to phone home from there. I always walk guests through the building to show them.

You're close to boat quay, which I admit is a bit of a tourist trap, but if you've come from a temperate climate, a curry by the river in the evening is a treat, notwithstanding it isn't Michelin star standard. Usually our first night out with guests. Two slightly touristy trappy pubs very near by if you want your pint in the evening and a short walk back to the hotel.

If you want exercise, (suggest dawn and dusk only), its a nice walk from there to Gardens by the Bay. For other locations, you're on both the green and red lines for getting around which is very easy.

Edit to add, the buses are excellent for getting around, google maps will give you the buses to use to get to a particular destination, and you get the benefit of seeing more of the city from the top deck of a bus than in an underground train!
