I've struggled with these bonuses on the IHG Premier because it has a spending threshold bonus at $20k/year that changes the math.

I went thru the spreadsheet exercise of plotting all my potential IHG card spending, including these quarterly bonuses, IHG hotel spend, etc., up to enough spending to hit the threshold.

For me, with my spending pattern, I'd have to get 1/2 cent/point value from IHG points and max out two quarterly bonuses, to break even vs. other options.

It was educational for me and I'd encourage it as a valuable exercise in this hobby.
