Transfer issues hyphenated surname.
I’ve been working on checking my cap one points transfers to make sure they are working. I have a hyphenated last name which causes so many issues. Cap one not the only program with issues but they are kind of unique with the problems I’m having.
i have 3 cards, both personal and biz Venture X and Spark business. So points are spread across them somewhat evenly. When I transfer from either Venture X the small window that opens to enter the membership number has a prepopulated name and it’s my proper name with the hyphen. Isn’t that the name that would need to match my program I’m transferring too? The C1 agent had no clue but using common sense….
However, there is no consistency. Some programs work using all three cards. Others my name is hyphenated on the program but transfer only works when last name is run together so only spark biz card. And a few won’t work with any of them. How is this possible? C1 is no help. Can’t do by phone. I don’t want to be dealing with this when I’ve found a great redemption and need to act fast.
Anyone else had these kind of issues and were you able to resolve them?
