They always say call back after it has expired and they will see what they can do. They never promise as its an undocumented benefit that could be nixed at any moment.
I have never had any issues, despite hearing several times that this was a one-time courtesy.
If I could combine awards or if the Cat7 was 12month expiry, I would never be asking to convert them.
