Operationally, this trip has been a nightmare
- outbound : flight is normally leaving at 18:45 pm from CDG. In the morning, I was informed of a one hour delay. I was already not happy because it would mean arriving very late at my hotel. Once on-board, it was a succession of problem : APU out-of order so we need an external starter for the engines, baggage loader broke while loading so we need to wait for maintenance to fix it and remove it, etc etc. We ended up leaving and arriving 2h30 late, so I checked-in at the hotel at 3:45 am and I had to wake up at 7:30. Great...
- return flight : on sunday afternoon, I received a notification that the flight was delayed by 12hrs
. No reason other than "operational" was given for this, as well by the TA later, but I discovered it by myself with the usual tools we have : the rotation was switched from an A350 to A330, so the delay was due to the needed resting time for the crew before returning to CDG. We ended up arriving in CDG almost 12h30 late. They had also to reorganize meal and serve lunch instead of breakfast. The lunch was truly awful, one of the worst I had on a plane. This huge delay has of course completely messed up my work schedule yesterday.
Overall a bad trip due to operational mess. I have to mention that both crews were lovely and did their best with the pax.

From my memories of CAI, the lounges used were one of the terrible ones downstairs, but we're in Saudia's quite nice Al Fursan Lounge today. I forgot to ask if this is generally being done or only an Ulti thing. Either way, this lounge is a huge step up compared to the near zoos the other lounges are. L25 could learn from it even.

I confirm the SV lounge is used for several years. A very nice lounge, always deserted. Of course, it's a dry lounge.
Our lounge thread is clearly indicating this is the lounge used in CAI
