Although it's unfortunate that (for Uber X) this won't earn double miles the way the Lyft offer does for airport rides, it's at least something. Lyft is notorious at JFK for scams where the driver says they're there picking you up but either don't in fact exist or are elsewhere with no intention of in fact picking you up--and then, when you inevitably "aren't there" for pickup, they receive $. I've heard the staff at the remote lot routinely tell pax not to order a Lyft and stick with Uber. I've never had the problem going to JFK, just from it, so will probably continue with Lyft to JFK, with double miles, and Uber from it, with 1-1 miles.
