I prefer the three-course breakfast/light meal service, which makes more sense, back then!
Lights on --> hot towel --> juice/smoothie/water --> delivery of starter tray with fruit plate --> breads--> yogurt/cereal/hot beverage trolley--> main course trolley/delivery--> more tea/coffee --> collection of trays
For light meals, they do lights on --> hot towel --> chilled beverage --> delivery of starter tray --> breads --> wine/beverage trolley --> main course trolley/beverage --> dessert/tea/coffee trolley
I honestly don't mind CX using the casserole for main courses on the second meal. You are already short staff and trolley makes the service more efficient.

Really.... someone should tell Vincent Yu (

https://www.linkedin.com/in/mandyngkm/) all this. Somehow common sense escapes from all these Cathay management trainees. Of course this service concept started under the watch of Jeanette Mao (

And yes you don't even get dairy on long haul J breakfast. You get at least a half decent yogurt in PE and Y.
If you want better service and catering, fly via Taipei to/from North America, and Dubai/Doha to/from Europe, if you don't mind the extra 3 to 6 hours.
