I'm one of the disgruntled British Airways Executive Club members who'll be returning to QFF this year after BA revamped/decimated its programme. Each year I fly business class from Europe to Australia to visit family. Starting my trip in Scandinavia instead of London generally provides me with a nearly 50% discount on the fare (GBP3,000 vs GBP5,000). Are there any good locations or known sweet spots to start my trip to Australia when flying with QF that offer discounts please?
Why do you want to fly QF?
QF will not be the best pricing.
From UK-EU QF fly from LHR, CDG, & FCO. Some EU routes may have a codeshare on BA connecting to a QF flight. Also QF marketed EK operated codeshares of some routes. QF is also a ff partner of AF/KLM.
Can earn QF SC & points on partners, subject to the t&c's. Some partners like Qatar QR & MH can have very poor or nil earnings.
Do you want to fly QF just for the 4 ~flights? QF and some JQ fares qualify for eligible flights. Flying to Asia on best prices - schedule and then separate QF (or JQ) flight to AU a option. If say wanting to go to MEL, flying SIN-SYD-MEL return for example gets the 4 flights
