1.75 cent per point is a fair valuation for purchasing points. The general consensus on the baseline valuations for Aeroplan is about 2 cent per point, so if you can get anything above that is good value for redemption.

I was actually looking into that for my colleague looking to book a trip for their honeymoon... The valuation is generally pretty poor for economy class and on AC's own metal, you're better off paying cash. Fixed rate partner redemption in premium cabin is the only real sweet spot but those seats can be *VERY* difficult to obtain.

Hotel redemption with 4th night free is a big hit or miss.
