Agree on the dual knobs. I would sometimes turn the wrong one and not be able to figure out why the gears didn't change!!! I never got used to the cruise control selectors, i.e. figure out how to set it using either the up or down arrow, but then it also had a pause feature, which was really confusing. It seemed like if I cancelled the cruise using the brakes instead of the pause, it would forget what speed it was set for. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Also, when one of the sensors got blocked from the snow, the cruise control would completely shut off. It would not allow for a non-ACC cruise control. I hated that.
This is also the first rental car that I have ever used that I could not figure out how to reset a trip odometer. I even did a Google search and couldn't find it. I don't think anyone else had either, because the "trip" mileage was the same as the vehicle mileage, which means that it has never been reset. I like to reset them to know what kind of mileage that I am getting.
In spite of the full dashboard view of the navigation map, it still looked outdated. Maybe because I am used to the Google maps that my car uses. The resolution was very poor.
Maybe if I had more time in it, I would figure some of the stuff out, but after my experience for one day, I would not rent this vehicle again.
I would say I have had opposite experience from you, I think it's a much better car than most of the base model European cars rental fleet.
And to reset the trip computer, for all Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicles, all you have to do it go to the trip page and hold the ok button on the steering wheel and it should reset for you.
