• Three weeks in Thailand coming up in February, booked before the change in J on BA with Y connecting flights on Bangkok Air.
• Long weekend in Istanbul in June in J, our first *A leisure flights and first TK flights to qualify for status match extension
• Part leisure / part work week in SFO in November in J. Giving TK a go as with the status match and this flight it’ll qualify me for *A Gold for two years. OK, *A Gold is not as good as BA Gold, but it gives me fast track, priority boarding, lounge access etc. The connecting flight isn’t too bad either, I can fly from Gatwick (30 mins from me in Brighton), 3 hour flight to IST, then a direct 14 hour to SFO.

I can’t see me booking many more revenue trips on OW, I know it’s a bit futile as one person and a mere £10-20k spend a year, but the way BA have dealt with the change it gives me a small amount of satisfaction to “stick it to the man”, as well as opening up our choice to many more airlines.
