A Japanese Centric will also offer more service beyond the Centric's guidelines because Japanese guests expect more than just a central location and hip design. Just like Andaz "Parkdaz" Tokyo is levels above a normal CONUS Andaz.
To be clear, I am absolutely not saying the centric is bad in any way. It’s a fantastic hotel and the staff goes above and beyond and punches above their weight. It’s just madness at present rack rates. It’s also quirky, unique and has a ton of local charm.
However, the staff-to-guest ratio is by far the lowest of any Hyatt in Tokyo, because Centric brand standard calls for it.
