Could be the noise, or the adult only concept didn't sell as expected. When I stayed at the Westin in early May last year and asked for a bathrobe for my daughter they brought a kids bathrobe with the W Mina Seyahi logo on it, so maybe it's been in the works for a while. In any case flip flopping between family W and adult only W is probably not a good idea, it will probably stay children allowed going forward.
Do they offer the typical MENA property weekend day passes for pools? Doubt they can sell enough without allowing kids...
