So that was the confusing part for me when I got the original email. I immediately thought I was getting walked, but I didn’t get any plan for re-accommodation. Is involuntary cancellation at an hotel even a thing like IDB for airlines?
Once I emailed back saying hey if you want to walk me you have to re-accommodate and compensate me. An actual person reached out and it was handled smoothly, like what I would expect for being walked. By the way, they already had arrangements with other hotels in Wailea to re-accommodate, so there was clearly a plan.
Maybe an intern wrote the original email. Or, more likely, they want to see what they can get away with.
Anyways, I’m good.
