Recently stayed here for about a week, so figured I'd provide a quick review. Overall I really really liked it - it's definitely not as luxurious as the "true" luxury hotels but I think for what it is and for what I needed I really liked and would stay there again. Really liked boutique feel. In some ways, I preferred to the Grand Hyatt where I also spent a couple days
Positives:
+ New, fresh, well appointed rooms - I used an SUA to one of the entry level suites. While it is on the smaller side, I thought it was very comfortable and well designed. There's not space to, say, entertain 5 people but gave real separated space to relax with 1-2 people and/or have separated work and sleeping space. Room in general also had very nice fit and finish and feel (though does not use super fancy materials - looks like a lot of the materials are synthetic, though very high quality). Shower was perhaps best shower I've ever used
+ Breakfast - one of the best breakfasts I've had recently. It is small but very high quality. Some of the a la carte items are fantastic. The one thing I wish they had was a Japanese set, but they did have a decent Japanese station.
+ Service - very capable, though a bit limited. E.g., didn't have the approach of "anything you want, we can do" (as an example, I asked for stamps and they sent me to a 7-11)
+ Lounge - it's nice to have, though admittedly didn't use much as I had a suite. Imagine in a room it would be especially nice
Neutral:
+ Gym - hotel gym just OK. Globalists get access to Carappo next door which is very nice and has decent baths
+ Location - for me (was in Tokyo to see people), Toranomon is great b/c fairly close to lots of things and great metro access. But it's not like the Grand Hyatt where there are a million things right outside your door
+ Depends on what you're looking for but the clientele a bit quieter and "vacation-y" than at Grand Hyatt. May have just been a December effect
Negative:
+ No pool / spa - this is to me biggest issue with this hotel
+ No room service - I'm literally never going to order room service in Tokyo, but I suppose for some this is a negative
+ Despite high quality of build, rooms are small and less luxurious than some other places. Especially in a suite not an issue to me, but others will feel differently of course
Overall I'd stay again. Way preferred to Prince Gallery Kioicho, roughly neutral vs GHT depending what I'm looking for (though GHT is fancier)
