BTW, I met this DM later in the Wing F after I spent some time shopping in airport. It was pretty sure they were not rush to catch connecting flight.
I know you feel it improper, but having a flight to catch, alone with various other reasons, are indeed common grounds for crew to move up pax before landing. I have another occasion when I twisted my ankle and the ISM moved me up to 11D prior to landing.
Go back to your case, considering the off boarding of 32Q is incredibly slow, and it's prabably parked remotely at North Satellite, I think it's very reasonable for the crew to take care of connecting pax, especially if he was travelling with a DM.
