Thanks for spending the time checking. I'm in touch with AF/KLM asking for the copy of policy /procedure on the subject so I can confirm if the system is consistent with procedure or if there is a glitch somewhere. I booked thru AF/KLM to have some piece of mind with my luggages ( vs booking separate flights. Note with 480 usd of luggages fee I got, I would have had a flight kul-sin for cheaper!). Since I'm not choosing which airline AF/KLM is "sub contracting" and my flight is tagged as AF/KLM,, as a customer, I wasn't expecting that trouble. I checked on this forum also before which reinforced my belief I won't have any trouble, but it seems a specific case of an unusual issue.
