I gather not all E175's have the new overhead bins. I travel with a CPAP machine in a rolling bag. On AS's E175's in first class it fits fine but only one the right side of the aircraft. We will be flying UA in an E175 EWR-PIT but in Economy Plus seats 8A and 8B. Are the overhead bins in Economy Plus like the ones on the left hand side of first class, which are very shallow? Maybe we should move to seats on the right hand side of the aircraft? I gather that the new bins don't please everyone- are they considerably smaller than the existing bins? My CPAP is a specialized model which is quite expensive and I certainly don't want it to be checked. Any advice would be appreciated.
