Well, depends. There are tax cliffs in the system. For older people, one is Medicare IRMAA, make under the threshold and you pay no extra for the premium, $1 over in MAGI makes you pay $80 per month extra, x2 is you are married filing jointly (and bigger increases at other income levels)
