I flew MIA-TPA this weekend and the flight (AA 754) was delayed 90 mins due to mechanical problems before they got us to disembark and tried to rebook us on the next TPA flight (AA 1460). And there were delays on getting that flight out because of the rebooking and shuffling of luggage to that flight of another 90 minutes so overall, I left a little over 3 hours later than I expected.

So I'm conflicted. Is it even worth writing a letter to complain? I'm on the fence. The crew did the best that they could by making light of the situation and keeping us relatively happy (although they did kick one guy off the flight because he was being an asshat). It just sucks that I was 3 hours late.

Personally, I'm more upset that when I was sitting in F, they asked for volunteers on the plane to give up their seat ($350 and meal voucher and confirmed F on the flight 5 hours later) and I wasn't quick on the draw.
