I am not sure what you mean by "pay my bills" in this context. If you mean that you use your credit card to make purchases, it may be helpful to understand that some merchants submit charges for more than the final amount, and this temporarily reserves part of the credit line which could account for the discrepancy. Merchants who routinely do this are restaurants, hotels, car rentals, but there are others.
