Didn't see a thread about this yet but I'm sure I'm not the only one who received this email based on this article:
https://loyaltylobby.com/2025/01/02/fraudsters-target-guests-with-upcoming-reservations-at-intercontinental-sydney-using-payment-links/
I have a stay this year at Intercontinental Sydney.
I received an email asking me to follow a link and provide payment information and personal details or else my reservation will be cancelled. They used my actual stay dates and my real name but the reservation number is wrong.
I opened a case with IHG and waiting for them to get back to me. It's very concerning what other information they managed to get from this very serious hack to the hotel reservation system.
Anyone staying at the hotel this year should be aware.
The hotel known about this hack for at least several weeks based on the loyalty lobby website but did nothing proactively to alert it's guest, at least I didn't get any notification from them.
