It was seamless. As my stay at SSParo was 2 nights, I just stayed in (except for a stroll to the temple monastery and “ruins” nearby) then it was back to the airport which had a guide who didn’t do much. So no gratuity given, felt a little awkward esp when flight was very early. There may have been expectations and on hindsight should have given something.
