This is a bit of a dead thread, but I am planning to travel with my wife and (nearly) 6 year-old daughter to Singapore for a week in August. In looking at various hotel options, it looks like the Shangri-La and the Mandarin Oriental have the most obvious kid-friendly options. I was wondering if anyone had a strong opinion on one versus the other? I have only been to Singapore once previously (before kids), so my only opinion is on geography, on which the Mandarin Oriental seems to have a clear advantage. The room at the MO also seems to have washer and dryer in the unit, which is a huge boon IMO given how hot/sweaty Singapore will be. However, the Shangri-La seems to have a lot more overall amenities geared towards kids (including a kid's club, which my daughter would likely still find interest in at her age).
The Four Seasons also looks quite nice, but as it has less of a kid-themed option (admittedly the pool looks very nice), it is below the others from a consideration standpoint as of now.
