Any insights? Surprised they would do this for a busier April week.

Interesting. When checking the booking it still shows BA49 (LHR->SEA) just in business.
ba.com isn't even selling BA49 anymore, and instead has options via Aer Lingus.
I got this as well for BA49 on March 30th and only noticed 2 weeks ago. The downgrade was due to AC change to A350, TBH had it been the outbound I'd have accepted the 75% (think thats the downgrade comp) as I sleep that direction but wanted F on the daytime return. I called last week YouFirst and they were able to re-route me via LAX on BA269 connecting via AS to SEA. It meant arriving several hours later but I get to stay in F...now today I just checked EF and BA49 on Mar 30 is back to 781 (with all 8 F seats showing open unsurprisingly).
Would I be out of bounds to ask to be put back on BA49 in F? I know normally you get one bite at the schedule change apple, but this would mean they don't have to pay AS for the LAX-SEA leg and its really just putting things back as they were...FWIW the ticket is A fare basis and BA49 on Mar 30 shows F8A6.
