I realize this is a subjective question...
I'm traveling to Tokyo with my wife and kids (10,12) and was thinking of blowing all of my points at the MESM for 5 nights on two rooms (approx 550k points) this coming June. Is that a worthwhile use of points or should I find a cheaper, relatively comfortable hotel in a nearby location for $2000 and blow my points on a luxurious beach vacation a year later? In other words, if you were in a similar situation, what would you do?
