I basically need DL to re-fare and re-ticket just the KE operated segments to Y/B/M (which I would pay for out of my own pocket). If OP or anyone has been able to successfully do this, would love to hear that data point. To be clear, I can get an entire ticket issued Y/B/M, but the intent is to keep the P/A/G PS class to ICN, and then Y/B/M on KE to/from ICN.The later scenario would allow direct and confirmed upgrade to J using GUC as long as space was available.Thanks.
yes, this is the exact scenario and DL says they cannot dictate what the fare class the KE economy segment is booked into. I definitely do not want book in main cabin and upgrade to PS and waitlist D1.Would rather "suffer" the KE segment from ICN to HKT than the chance of not confirming the MSP-ICN in D1. I have called 3 separate times and the only way they say is to book D1 which would automatically be Prestige. They have told me KE and AF are the strictest when it comes to upgrades. Idk. Thanks everyone for the replies 👍🏼
