The issue is for Tourists, the dollar/blue exchange rate has been almost flat since October 2023 (AR$1050~1200 range), while many things have double the price in the last 12 months. I guess they got used to double the price for many years that, even if the inflation has been very low in the last couple of months.
When I went a year ago to Bariloche, most boat tours were priced around $40 to $60k, now the same tour is $120+, like Puerto Bles+Lago Frias (120+46k), I paid $55+27.5k in December (January 2024 was more expensive, but less than a 20% jump). The Rafting to Frontera was $65, now is $130k.
In the other hand, locals are getting paid more (due to inflation), for that reason for them dollar is cheaper and that's why many are traveling overseas, going to the crappy beaches in Argentina is more expensive than going to Brazil, even my Uber driver that I took 10 days ago on my way to EZE told me he just got back from Florianopolis, he went with his wife and kid and spend less than $1k in total (just 5 days), and he will do it again next year.
