A BR flight from LHR to BKK
I am taking my first BR flight so thought I would write a mini-trip report. I hope it will be left here for a bit to benefit Eva travellers.
The start
All the preliminaries were smooth. Seat selection, meal selection and online check in all went fine.
Check in
T2, used by *A at LHR, seems to have separate areas for Y and J. I ended up at the Y check in counters which were nearer to the entrance and with no queue when I arrived. A charming young lady dealt with me and all was well.
Lounge
Eva only have one flight a day so no lounge of their own. I went to the Singapore lounge but was turned away as they were “not taking *A passengers for operational reasons”. No idea what that means and the lounge dragon was not forthcoming.
So went to the United lounge. Nice bar area but no champagne, only prosecco. Very bad start to the flight! Food is okay for a light snack and some of the hot dishes actually looked good, the fried fish in particular. However, I didn’t want to spoil my appetite so only had a couple of sandwiches.
Busy but nice sitting at the bar which is the lounges high spot.
Sorry, not letting me post photos at the moment so contain your enthusiasm for fried fish and prosecco just for the moment.
