It's probably due to the collection of 20 cents in taxes due to the increase in ticket taxes for flights in 2025 that were booked in 2024. Sounds like Bob Jordan needs this cash infusion to help Southwest survive. Let's not forget the cost of staff time is going to be a lot more than the 20 cents collected.
