Do folks have any recommendations on which luxury hotels that have 2 distinct sleeping areas (e.g. a 1 bedroom suite and a sofa bed in the living room) and great hard product? I am far less sensitive to soft product, the front desk being warm and fuzzy, etc. If we are not in Sentosa (useful because of proximity to beach, Universal Studios, etc.), then I would prefer to be centrally located.

My only past experience staying in Singapore was at the Fairmont pre-Accor merger. It was generally pretty good, from my vague recollection, but not sure it would fit my goals now. Willing to pay decent $$ but not if amenities don't live up to it. Pool, good gym, centrality (if not Sentosa-located) and kid-friendly options (like a kid's club, or more kid-friendly pool) is priority, in that general order.
If you really want to be on Sentosa, the Capella might be an option (I haven't stayed, so can't comment). It looks like the suites have a pocket door between the living and sleeping areas. But the pricing seems high.

I can recommend the FS - room product is nice. There's also a family pool on the rooftop.

I would steer clear of the Valley Wing at the Shangri-La - if you're only focused on hard product, they really need a renovation.

MO was just renovated so may also be an option (I've only stayed pre-reno).

Fullerton Bay did have nice hard product last time I stayed, but that was ages ago now.
