I’ve been flying to and through DFW for 35 years. I know where the gates are by number, without having any idea, or care, which is north or south or high or low. If I were advising someone unfamiliar with DFW, I would use terminal letters and gate numbers, which are the only references people are going to find when they get there. That’s completely intuitive to me.
