I don’t mind an indirect route on a reliable airline through a reliable hub but TP and LIS are not that. Certainly not right now with all the reconstruction work and almost every flight bussing from remote stands. I really only have the choice of BA or LCC, whereby in ET my status benefits, under current BAEC conditions at least, swing the balance to BA. I find that frustrating because my anger towards them makes me illogically want to punish them. I guess I’ll have to do that by buying the cheapest ticket and making a serious attempt to drink the LGW F lounge dry.
maybe getting a credit card that give you priority pass would make the difference on U2 more bearable. that is one of the things I do.
otherwise it feel having looked at the other side you have seen the grass is not greener over there and you are sticking with BA despite they fact that they are, according to you "already broken"
in that case it may be time for us to accept its not what it was years ago, we might not all be getting what we used to get, but it is still better than what else is on offer and we need to accept the new way of things
