I was connecting Schengen to non-Schengen on SK and didn’t bother joining the line. Interesting thing was one could see quite a few empty seats inside even though the line had formed.
In Us lounges I’ve noticed where business and gold/first lounges are co located,staff proactively go into the lines to fish out the higher status pax
