I was flying BR BKK-AMS last September and while seated waiting for the remainder of passengers to board, the (very tall) guy in front of me asked the FA how much to upgrade from economy to premium economy. She "needed to check" and came back a few minutes later with a price of USD$1000. Obviously the guy pretty much laughed and stayed where he was.
