Usually I find lounge breakfast worse than the restaurant breakfast at most hotels, but I believe Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is an exception. The spread at Thirty8 is much more extensive, but the space is too big and busy for any proper service. The made to order fresh juices and kombucha on tap were nice though and would be the reason for me to visit the restaurant breakfast.
I would rather trade the spread at the restaurant breakfast for the peace and quiet at the lounge, which provides a more premium and exclusive experience, along with a nice view. The service at the lounge is great in general and its the same for breakfast. The made to order dishes that I tried at the lounge breakfast were decent, but not great. I did enjoy the french toast though.
Overall, I only spent one day at the restaurant breakfast and spent the remaining days at the lounge breakfast.
