Maybe it’s the fact I’m in a lounge and indulging in the afternoon tea a bit too much, but that article seems rather confusing (/badly written).

Correct me if I’m wrong but the crux of it is that lounge access is ‘now’ from when earned + 12 months, as opposed to when selected to the end of the following year, but there’s a glitch that some people are now only getting 12 months? Seems to be two different things at play here.
