Assuming that by Executive room you're talking about lounge access, I think it's better to have low expectations of that happening as a Gold. It's completely anecdotal, but I haven't received lounge access the 4 times or so I've stayed, and I think the data points in this thread also suggest that Golds don't frequently get lounge access. Bay view can happen, and twin to king may happen.
